We are delighted to announce that L&M MediLaw has once again been shortlisted in three categories at the 2025 Scottish Legal Awards: Excellence in Client Care, Litigation Team of the Year, and Rising Star of the Year (for our exceptional colleague, Nadine Montgomery Allam). The winners will be revealed this September, and we couldn’t be more proud of our team’s continued dedication to outstanding service and legal excellence.

A Continuing Legacy of Client-Focused Innovation

Being shortlisted again for Excellence in Client Care highlights our unwavering commitment to ensuring every client feels supported, informed, and genuinely heard. Over the past year, we’ve introduced new digital resources—such as a dedicated client portal and short explainer videos on key milestones of the claims process—that have further enhanced transparency and made it even easier for our clients to track progress every step of the way.

Litigation Team of the Year: Expertise That Makes a Difference

Our nomination for Litigation Team of the Year is a testament to the tireless work of our legal professionals. From complex surgical negligence cases to urgent GP-related claims, our litigation team continues to secure excellent outcomes for those affected by medical errors. In the past 12 months alone, we’ve achieved a record number of seven six-figure settlements, each the result of meticulous preparation, strategic collaboration with medical experts, and a genuine commitment to seeking justice on behalf of our clients.

Rising Star of the Year: Honouring Nadine Montgomery

We are particularly proud that Nadine Montgomery has been shortlisted again for Rising Star of the Year. Since joining L&M MediLaw Nadine has demonstrated remarkable dedication, innovation and advocacy. Nadine’s empathetic approach and her unwavering determination to go the extra mile for every client exemplify why she’s such a standout talent within our firm.

A Message from Our Founder, Elizabeth Rose:

“Being shortlisted again in these three categories is such an honour. It reflects not only the high caliber of legal expertise at L&M MediLaw, but also our collective commitment to putting clients first. We’re dedicated to getting justice for our clients, while making the process more transparent and less stressful. To see that work recognised once more is immensely rewarding. Thank you to every member of our team for their dedication—and to our clients, for trusting us at some of the most difficult times in their lives.”

Every claim we handle represents a person—or a family—tackling a life-altering situation following medical harm. Being shortlisted for the Scottish Legal Awards reaffirms that our efforts to innovate, empathise, and fight for justice are truly making a difference. We are incredibly grateful to see our hard work honoured again and look forward to celebrating with everyone—regardless of the outcome this September.

Stay tuned for updates on the Scottish Legal Awards 2025, and join us in wishing all finalists the best of luck!
