Niamh Page

My name is Niamh, and I am a legal assistant for L and M MediLaw.

My job as a legal assistant involves research, reviewing records and corresponding with clients. I recently graduated from Glasgow University in law with merit, and I will be starting my diploma in September this year. I am also a previous graduate from Strathclyde University where I studied English literature. When studying for my law degree I completed a summer placement with the parent company Levy and McRae. I was able to do a bit of work with Elizabeth and found that I really enjoyed medical negligence, after this placement Elizabeth offered me a full-time position and my L and M MediLaw journey began.

Medical negligence is an area of law that is really personal. I like being able to get to know clients and play a small part in getting justice for them. It is incredibly rewarding work.

In my spare time, I am the assistant director of an amateur musical theatre company which has given me good communication and organisational skills, as well as the tact needed to deal with incredibly passionate aspiring actors! In the past, I have also played piano for and helped lead theatre classes for children and adults with additional support needs. L and M MediLaw strives to be accessible and put client care first, my experience working with people with additional support needs has helped me in providing that. I look forward to continuing my work with L and M MediLaw and growing my skills and experience in the world of medical negligence.
